Sorry I missed last week 大家！
It's been a good 2 weeks tho this past week I got to go to THE TEMPLE. I haven't been since last September, and now that the Hong Kong temple is open we missionaries got the chance to go when we go to the temple, we get to do things that we need to do to live with God again for ourselves for and in behalf of those who have already died, to give them a chance to have eternal life. It's a special experience that unites us with our ancestors, and it helps us ponder the promises we've already made with God ourselves. In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints we truly believe in and our motivated by Christ's commandment to "preach the gospel to all nations", and part of the way we do that is by helping those who have already passed have the choice to accept Jesus Christ and come unto him through baptism and other ordinances.
This week we also met this man who truly is searching for answers! We met him on the street, had an impromptu discussion about The Book of Mormon in the park, which lead to a lesson on Saturday with his wife and kid about God's plan of Happiness for us it is so amazing and refreshing to see someone who is truly looking for God, and I love that we get to help him and his family come closer to him
Couple random things from the past 2 weeks: I tried snake soup, Hong Kong had another typhoon (which was nice tho cuz it cooled things down), bought a fan so I could be a Hong Kong girl, cut Hair wispies on the side of my face so I could be a Hong Kong girl, got Bible bashed at a stop light, met someone from Zambia, another from Italy, another from Germany, multiple from The Philippines, one from Pakistan, one from India, one from Indonesia, and of course some from mainland China.
I hope everything is going well wherever you are right now! I'm praying for all of you, and remember you can always pray and talk to your Father in Heaven whenever you want:)
