Hello!!!!
Another week! In the same room! One to go.
Lots of great things tho! I got the nickname of princess from a member, drew a face on a lemon that was given to us in an EPIC care package from the members, tried a lot of new food, grew my appreciation for buttered noodles, and woke up everyday with a soar back (the beds here are pretty hard) but thankfully the pain went away pretty quickly!
We had the Asia area missions got the opportunity to hear from Dieter F. Uchtdorf, a modern day Apostle of Jesus Christ, and it was amazing! In that meeting there was a lot of encouragement to use our individual talents and personalities to help further the Lord's work. It's pretty cool that as missionaries we get dedicate or consecrate our many unique talents to helping people learn about Jesus Christ. I'm trying to better use my unique strengths to help others!
A funny story about me and my comp, our Chinese names are Tong (soup (also gravy hence why i sometimes refer to myself as sister gravy but general speaking it means soup)) and Faahn (rice). A member pointed this out to use and said we are a complete dinner together! She wondered if president knew what he was doing with our names when he put us together. kinda funny haha
I just wanna thank everyone who's sent emails of encouragement/spiritual thoughts and for praying for me and the other missionaries! We definitely feel the prayers, we've all been doing pretty well in here! Not too lonely, bored, or sad. I've honestly loved my weeks in this room!
OH and I can't wish it the day of so HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
