Week 7 Tai Wo

Hello!

This week was great! There were so many times when I was like dang I love being a missionary!!!

We did a lot of talking to new people on Tuesday and inviting them to learn more about our church. It's kinda funny, speaking canto to people makes it easier to start the conversation but harder to carry it on. Canto does make the harsh "no"s not so bad though, cuz most of the time I'm guessing what they're saying anyways!

Omicron is being taken very seriously here in China, so we have a lot more restrictions on who we can meet with, who we can eat with (not anyone outside of our apartment), and we also started online church again this Sunday. BUT missionary continues! There was a devotional for Young Adults and Youth in the Asia Area by Elder Uchtdorf (one of the 12 Apostles) and Sister Uchtdorf (his wife), and Elder Uchtdorf said to focus on what we can do, so that's what we're doing!

I also had exchanges this Friday! Exchanges is when you switch companions for a day, and I got to be with my first companion again, Sister Hauyi chan! I loved it. We visited this man named Johnson and were teaching about how Jesus Christ taught so many people while He was on the Earth, and He gave authority and power to His Apostles to teach and bless others as well. But eventually people rejected Christ and crucified Him, and they rejected and killed the Apostles as well, so this authority from God was lost. But, God reached out again in love and restored His authority and power through Joseph Smith so we have it on the Earth again. I just really felt the Spirit confirm to me that God loves Johnson, and that this work is important! Maybe not so glamorous all the time, but 100% worth it.

That's about all for this week, we're about to go buy groceries and stalk up incase of a lock down. Wish us luck
