Covid is taking over! And me and another apartment member were feeling a little under the weather this week so a little scaryyyyy. We talked to the health director and he said we shouldn't get tested though, we're trying to stay far away from Penny's Bay hehe. Aaaaanyway...
I think I forgot to mention that they've temporally stopped sending missionaries to Hong Kong because of Covid problems. The group I came with was the last, and because there was so much trouble with us lol they decided to stop to try and figure things out with the government. But then Omicron came in so idk how long until Hong Kong gets new missionaries. 好傷心
This week though we still were teaching and finding mostly in our cozy apartment. Two of our friends (these young boys) passed their interview so they can be baptized! Buuut because of COVID we don't actually know when that will be:( We're going to keep meeting with them though and strengthening their faith!
This week had challenges, it's easy to not feel like enough on the mish especially with the language challenges. Sister Chan helps a lot. Plus I'm learning patience 慢啲慢啲學
This week I ate a lot of noodles, called a lot of people to see if they were interested in learning English or about Jesus Christ, felt God's love so many times, was so excited to hear different friends of our's testimonies and see their courage, tried to find ways to help our friends progress more to baptism, tried to figure out what people are saying, failed many times, succeeded a lot tho too, learned how to say goat, called my companion a goat in cantonese, tried to explain that it's a complement, ate mochi (a weird doughy desert, fun to play with not to eat type beat) and many other things.
Okay song recommendation for everyone: Free My Soul from Th Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Youth Album. JUST trust me. It's every missionaries jam.
