Week 3 in Castle Peak Bay

 Hi

It's me

Good news for the week: I didn't get arrested
Bad news for the week: I almost got arrested

ok that might be slightly click bait but still, it left me shook. Basically Hong Kong is SUPER hardcore about protecting from COVID so we haven't really been able to talk to people on the streets because it's illegal to be in a group of more than 2 outside, and me plus my companion already makes two. BUT our mission president recently said that we can talk to people for less than 5 mins IF there are no cameras or policemen around. So flash forward to us walking around in a park talking to people and we're talking to this man on a bench when all the sudden one of the park security guards comes around and looks us in the eye and gives us a little "heyyy what are you up to" kind of wave, so my companion and I turn to walk away and that's when we realized there were two more park security guards in a little semicircle around us. We just up and left immediately lol. We were both shaking in our boots a lil lol. There was a large group of people nearby where we were talking, so we think that's what attracted the guards in the first place. Kinda wackyyyy but the moral of the story is it doesn't count as breaking the law if you don't get caught, but make sure you're good at not getting caught.

In other news, we invited our friend Jimmy to be baptized and he accepted! His mom was a little concerned because church buildings aren't open right now in Hong Kong due to COVID, but we assured her the mission had a plan that only requires the baptizee and their family, a worthy holder of The Priesthood of God (God's power given to man), two witnesses, a members house, an inflatable pool, and an air pump! Nothing can stop the work of God

There was also General Conference this weekend (a worldwide conference where God's prophet on the Earth today speaks to us, as well as other church leaders like the 12 apostles!) buuut i was asleep for all of it because #timezones so I've only seen the Saturday Morning session. Nobody spoil it!!!!!!  But also lemme know one of your favorite talks

This week before inviting Jimmy to be baptized, we were teaching him about the plan God created for him. This plan is called "The Plan of Salvation", and it's for all of us! It was great to be able to help this child understand how important they are, where they were before they were born, why they're on the Earth, where they are going after his life, and just how big his worth is! I love the Plan of Salvation, and I know God has a plan for all of you, and it's not a mystery! He has prepared a way for you to live with Him again, because He loves you SO much. Your worth is beyond anything you can imagine If you want to know more about this plan feel free to reach out!! it's kinda literally my purpose as a missionary to talk about it lol. Wouldn't have it any other way

I hope you all have a wonderful week!!!!!!!!
