Okayyyyyy here we gooooooo
We spent so much time in Tuen Mun (our area where we focus our services) this week! We live about a half hour from there, and we used to not go much especially with COVID, but our mission president suggested we go more, and we did period amen. We went every day except Thursday because #zoneconference gotta have that time to counsel with the whole mission and our fearless president and his wife.
We met these two super cool girls while in our area this week, one of them was from America and the other was from Hong Kong but she knew English so BLESS UP we got to use English English We were jus chattin and we talked about the Book of Mormon, the American asked what our favorite verse or quote was from The Book of Mormon and I shared Mosiah 2:17 "Therefore I tell ye these things that ye may learn wisdom, that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellowbeing, ye are only in the service of your God" and after I shared she was like "dang I just got chills" and I started freaking out like LITERALLY THAT IS THE SPIRIT just kidding I played it cool but that's what I was doing in my head. In the end we exchanged facebooks and we gave her (the English speaking lady) a cantonese Book of Mormon because that's all we had but she was super happy to have it anyway. Now we just gotta make plans to give her an English one!
I also finished watching general conference this weekend!!! epic. show stopping. unbelievable. never been done before. a complete original. literally the word of God. Not but seriously I loved it! Especially when they talked about Covenants (promises we make with God), and that by making those covenants and Keeping them, we have access to the power of God and need not fear, even if the whole world is in commotion and experiencing fear. I am so grateful God gives us opportunities to draw closer to him through covenants, like baptism and sacred one we make in the temple!
