Week 9 Castle Peak Bay

Hello!!

Elephant in the room: p-day change
Reason: BECAUSE THE HONG KONG TEMPLE IS OPENING😱

We got news last week that it would be dedicated (a special prepare that makes it a sacred place, the house of God) on June 19th and that there would be no open house (anyone can go in and look, members and non members) But THEN two days later they were like psycheeee there's an open house but it's low-keyyyy do wanna work there? We're like yeah!!!! They're like it's on Monday. we're like okay laaaaa!! We were supposed to go to Disney yesterday, but instead we got to welcome members and nonmembers a like to take a tour of the temple before it gets dedicated and only members who have prepared themselves can enter. It was so fun!! It felt like I was at the visitors center again. We met a lot of people and got to enjoy the excitement of having the temple open again soon! The Hong Kong temple has been under renovations and not in use for 3 years, and the members are so excited!! The dedicated temple, the house of God, will truly bless all of Hong Kong.

In other exciting news, our little Friend Jimmy got baptized! It was such a precious moment, and so much of the ward showed up to support. Actually, my comp and I as missionaries did practically nothing for the baptism, we just showed up cuz the ward handeled the rest. It was great cuz we could feel the wards excitement!! We're sure Jimmy and his mom could feel it too.

Other things this week: had some meals with Members, one if which who is literally super woman who just started an elementary school on a whim?? She's an inspiration. We taught venny, our friend from Africa and she had read 10 chapters of the Book of Mormon and brought a ton of questions!! We stressed trying to prep for the temple open house because canto is stressful, but oh my GOODNESS I felt.God's👏power👏helping👏with👏canto👏 sooooo much, we met the new senior couple in the Hong Kong mission and they have my whole heart, I ate a donut, tried Japanese pancakes, felt pretty tired from talking to peope on myltiple occasions, felt God give me strength to push through those hard times, and read about Samuel the lamenite in the Book of Mormon.
